Facility Description:
Hamriyah Port (Located some 15 kms from Sharjah's city centre and 30 kms from Dubai, Hamriyah Port has been designed to benefit from not only a deep water access point but also from easy access to the UAE's super highway network that links all seven Emirates as well as providing connections to neighbouring Gulf States. The most important cargo handled in this port is LPG, oil and grain and other General Cargoes. Hamriyah Port is able to accommodate very large and deep drafted vessels where the length of jetties is 1145 meters with depth 14 meters. The Port currently has one LPG berth, one general oil products berth and four general cargo berth/grain berth. Primarily designed for handling grains, these berths and quays are being upgraded and the port is now capable of handling many other cargoes. Active steps are being taken to increase the length of the general cargo berth and to generally upgrade handling activities.)
